  1. RE: Lego Games -
I enjoy the Lego games for the most part. There was a stage where things started to feel especially repetitive, but they've started adding a little more effort into differentiating them and amping up (of all things) the combat in the games, and improving open world aspects. That said, I'm still not overly interesting in bothering with the new Marvel Super Heroes game that's coming out. I'm sure we'll get it at some point though, as I know my youngest will want to play it.
I find they're good to play with my kids and my wife. I don't mind playing my first time through with my wife, but when it's on my profile, I tend to hold off on playing with my kids until the second time through. I'm good to play with them on their profiles during their first time through though; I just kind of take their direction and help out when needed.
Dimensions is a lot of fun I find, and has some nice departures from the regular Tt series of games. I couldn't get into Lego Worlds though.

RE: A song comes on and you get better - I love when Revived Power comes in during the 2nd Colossus fight in Shadow of the Colossus. That song can get me hyped for anything.

RE: Mario video - I think you should do whatever you will have the most fun doing. I have to admit though, I've never wondered about Mario's nipples, belly button, moles, dimples or freckles. ;)

RE: Assassin's Creed Origins - I may check it out someday. You may recall that I couldn't get into the series after only playing AC2 (I liked it, but didn't think it was great), but I'm hearing good things about this one. I may take a chance one day to use Origins to try the series out again. It won't be at a launch day price tag though.
RE: "That doesn't make sense!" - Games don't make sense. If it doesn't make sense, but is fun, I'll allow it. If it doesn't make sense and negatively impacts the experience, then it's dumb. That is my bias. :)
