The most unusual story out of PAX

So the Penny Arcade Expo was this last weekend and while it was filled with what one would normally expect at a video-game conference one very unusual story has popped up.

Netflix on Wii

When Netflix announced it was coming to Wii, I figured I'd request the disc just to see what the quality was like and to give the kiddos a way to stream all the episodes of Spongebob they wanted.

Game Day Sales at GameStop

It's that time of year again. GameStop is having it's annual Game Days Sale. I'm usually able to find one or two titles during this sale that are going for a decent price, and if you want to take your chances, usually the closer you get to the end of the sale, the deeper the discount. So if you see a game you want and there's a whole lot of them, you might want to hold off on buying it. Or you could just go back later with your receipt once it's been discounted and get some of your money back.

Here's the list of titles available:

New Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Trailer...I like it

It appears that Ubisoft has been putting their movie studio to use following on the heels of the excellent Assassin's Creed: Lineage movies. They've put out a live action teaser for the lastest Ghost Recon game, and it's got me pretty psyched. Take a look after the jump...

God of War III Ultimate Edition for $80! or I'm $20 richer now.

A week ago I paid $100 for my God of War Ultimate Edition, today I got $20 back. GameStop has dropped the price of the Ultimate Edition to $80 (well, $79.99), so I took my receipt in and got my $20 back due to their price protection policy.

For all of you who paid $100 at GameStop, I suggest you go get your $20 back.

250GB drive now available for your 360 storage pleasure

Major Nelson has informed us that you can now buy a 250GB drive for your Xbox 360 storage needs. While that is great for those of use with smaller drives it's still a bit overpriced for a hard drive.

PlayStation.Blog Share

For those of us that have a PlayStation 3, Sony has given us a new place to provide feedback on what PlayStation owners really want. It's been up for a couple of days now so I thought I'd see what type of suggestions they are getting.

Just when you think a corner has been turned...

Apparently Sony must have felt they'd been getting too much good press. Sales had been up, they had the game of the year, and God of War III is set to descend upon us.

So imagine my surprise last night when my rock, my ever reliable PS3, decided to party like it was 1999, December 31, 1999 to be exact. I thought it was odd that my system clock said that so I manually adjusted it and threw in Killzone 2 only to get an odd trophy error followed by a series of PSN 8001050F errors. So I jump onto the net and see Joystiq's post about the bug. After that I turned off my PS3, afraid to check and see if any of my trophies had been wiped.

I'm so tired of the foul ups this generation. Does anyone even have a QA department anymore?

At least my latest 360 is still working.
