I was reading an interview with Lazlow Jones, a producer at Rockstar Studios (and yes, he's the voice of DJ Lazlow in GTA) and he has an interesting point of view mature video games and the kids who play them.

Publishers and developers are idiots

I'm getting so sick of the pubs and devs spouting off about the evil used game market. Another nugget spouted off again recently. Says Karl Stewart, Crystal Dynamics' Global Brand Director:

"Having the used market is not beneficial to any of us."

Phoenix Wright and the Japanese legal system

I really enjoy Phoenix Wright. I'm currently playing through the second game (I'm on the 4th case now), and while the game presents itself to Western audiences as though it's taking place on Western soil, it's very clear the game is Japanese through and through.

Abstergo is looking for recruits...

I got an interesting email today from none other than Dr. Warren Vidic of Abstergo Industries. It appears that they are looking for new recruits to bring about their New World Order. A visit to the website shows several weapons, an axe, a claw (fashioned a prosthetic arm), a dagger, a fan (with a nasty cutting edge), a syringe, and a dagger.
