Major Nelson has informed us that you can now buy a 250GB drive for your Xbox 360 storage needs. While that is great for those of use with smaller drives it's still a bit overpriced for a hard drive.
The official press release pegs it at $129.99. That's twice as much as what I can buy a standalone 250GB drive for. At retail for $129.99, I can easily buy a 1TB drive. So I get four times the storage for the same price, over the 360 drive.
Ouch. I understand that some people might need this, especially if you pull down a lot of digital content, but this is just one more reason why I'll stick with my retail discs over digital downloads.
