When asked how do he feels about accusations that games like Rockstar's are responsible for more violence among young people, he responded:
Our games are not designed for young people. If you're a parent and buy one of our games for your child you're a terrible parent. We design games for adults because we're adults. There's a lot of kids games out there that we're not interested in playing. Just like you enjoy watching movies and TV shows with adult themes and language and violence that's the kind of thing we seek to produce.

Well, I will say there are probably some good parents who are uninformed, but I've lost count of the number of times I've seen a parent at GameStop buying a Mature title for their clearly underage child. And they have no excuse as the GameStop employees are required to point out that they are buying a Mature title. I've seen the exchange where the employee says to the parent, "This title is rated M for Mature, it contains, blood, intense violence, nudity, strong language, strong sexual content, and use of drugs and alcohol."
"Yes that's fine."
Sometimes I want to run over there grab the parent and shake them around a bit, and say, "Do you want your kid to go to jail? For the love of all that is good give the child some boundries."
To be clear, I don't think that playing any game will set up a child for failure in life and set them on the path to jail. However, I think when you find a child who is regularly playing Mature rated games, it is a symptom of a much larger problem in that household.

Red Dead Redemption hoping for 'emotional response'
I love how the question was answered by questioning the quality of the parenting and that they make adult games. That fact still doesn't sink in for a lot of people that adult games exist just like adult movies do.
