Red Dead Revival Red Dead Recover Red Dead Revealed There are options. :)
I borrowed Redemption from a friend, and I enjoyed it, but I didn't feel the need to buy it when I was done with it. I never played Revolver; I ended up with "Gun" instead, which I enjoyed. I'm not sure if or when I'll be playing the next one, I'm just not hyped for it.
The gun-play was good, but the standout thing I remember from what I didn't like was how there was a back-track in the game-play in the last, what?, 1/3rd or 1/4 of the game, where I'm back to killing birds as part of the story mission. I get what they were trying to do from a storytelling standpoint, it just didn't seem to fit with the game-play and upset the pacing for me. The actor for Marston did do a great job.
Spider-man, Tomb Raider, Darksiders, Biomutant, there are other things I'm more interested in playing than RDR2 at the moment. We'll see what happens at launch I guess.
As for stuff that's coming out later, I'll keep my eye on the new Doom, Beyond Good & Evil, Ghost of Tsushima, Rage 2, and Cyber Punk 2077, and see how those shape up. As for single-player games, that's what I'm interested in, so good news for me there.
I'm a little bummed about MS buying Ninja Theory. I have enjoyed every game of theirs I played, and now that's probably over for me. I hope they don't pull an EA and drive them to closure.
